With my background as a Music Director, pianist/synthesist, arranger, conductor and producer, I am certainly aware of the varying and often competing needs of the departments involved (did I mention budget?). Programming and Sound Design With over 30 years of experience in synth programming, it's easy to imagine the scope of the gear that I've worked with; from the single-oscilator, analog days, through to the development of today's soft-synths and samplers. The goal, however, has always been the same; to stay true to the needs of the project. Obviously, the vast majority of my studio work is done with soft-synths/samplers such as Kontakt, Omnisphere, etc. However, each project is different. This could mean that a keyboard rig providing only piano and organ emulation would be appropriate. And the requirements of each project will always, ultimately, dictate the choices in gear and software; whether the need is for emulation, sound design, synthesis, or any combination thereof. Along with programming, I have excellent relationships with suppliers for virtually any gear or software that you may need.
